In order to find out more

The offices of the public administration use the Polish language executing all official activities. It is regulated by the law of 7th October 1999 (paragraph 4 and 5). So if you wish to get hold of any data, you must address the offices in Bodzentyn and Kielce in Polish. You may want to ask the Polish Consul where you live for assistance. If the birth certificate you ask for is not for yourself and you are not related (family) to the person on the certificate; then you must either get a signature from the person him- or herself, or perhaps from someone in the family. You may also apply to receive legal rights to ask for the birth certificate if you are not the person included in it, or related to the family.
